Job description
The Senior XBRL Specialist will review AI-tagged iXBRL documents prepared for UK regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with HMRC, Companies House and FCA rules. Based in our London office (hybrid/remote option available), you must have at least 3 years’ hands‑on XBRL experience and deep familiarity with UK GAAP (FRS 102/105). Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
As a Senior XBRL Specialist you will be the final checkpoint on tagging quality before submission. You’ll mentor junior staff, liaise with clients over data queries, and keep abreast of taxonomy changes.
This is a hands‑on role where accuracy and process adherence are paramount. Core duties include:
- Perform detailed reviews of XBRL-tagged accounts.
- Provide feedback and training to junior taggers.
- Communicate with clients to resolve data issues.
- Monitor updates to XBRL taxonomies and regulatory guidance.
Required skills and experience include:
- 3+ years of XBRL tagging/review experience.
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102/105 and UK GAAP.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Good communication skills and client-facing experience.
